Lone Star Vaulters July 2008 - A Horse Gazette Exclusive : Lone Star Vaulters prepare for Nationals in Califorinia. The Lone Star Vaulters (LSV) were formed in 2006 by Rosie Brown. With the help of the Schaubhut family, the local group grows yearly as it promotes a fun way to stay fit. Rosie, who has two decades of equine experience, was a national champion vaulter herself and currently is the coach of champions at the national level. The competitive team consists of: Rosie, Assistant Coach Melanie Schaubhut, as well as Melanie’s daughter, Alex, Julie Stanley, Krista Kannen, Maya Leseten, Alyssa Hoogland, and Gibson Stanley. New vaulters are welcome to join LSV for lessons. Safety is emphasized throughout. There is even a “Ladies Night” for dancers and equestrians wanting to improve their balance and flexibility.
